We are pleased that you are interested in volunteering at Jean Weingarten Peninsula Oral School for the Deaf. JWPOSD is committed to sharing this experience with volunteers who believe in and support our mission to “teach deaf children how to listen, think and talk.” If you are interested in volunteering, contact the school via email (
) or phone (650.365.7500) to schedule a time to tour the school and meet with the principal. We look forward to getting to know you!
We have been asked to include a list of our maintenance needs on this page so that when parents are coming to school for a morning they might look and check to see what needs are there and then bring the appropriate tools to work on a project. Some of these can be done in a morning, some will take a few parents getting together with either Angelica Aguilar or Mary Ruth on a Saturday to accomplish. Please contact Angelica if there is a task you are interested in doing at 510-943-9973 or
. Let us say thank you ahead of time for any help you might give!

·Pressures wash the playground structure
·Pressure wash the wall outside of the annex room where the fern tree is growing, it is black mold.
